The talk of the town is about Real-time . How relevant is the Real time information. Well it is relevant as people rely heavily on social networking sites like twitter, facebook, and various blogs to get the latest info. It takes at least some time for the news to be indexed and appear in google search. How do you like it if there is a real time content search and discovery engine ? Well there is one . Yourversion provides such service. Yourversion is still in private Beta mode and they did a demo at the Silicon Valley New Tech Meetup .
Yourversion allows to add your interest and aggregates the real time content form across the web and social media . I captured some screenshots from the running version . I found it very useful to get the real time aggregated content view in a dashboard like setting . I can add my areas of of interests as tags and then yourversion pulls the information from the web, blogs, and social media sites. You can read the the content without leaving the site.
There are some more real time content search offerings like oneriot and lazyfeed .But they do not provide a dashboard style aggregated view like yourversion does. I found the content on yourversion to be better.
How is it going to be useful for Business ? Well it is important for Business to know the pulse of the real time web talks and it is also interesting to a different version of the search results . I added Best Buy as one of my interest and did a search. Until now I didnt know Best Buy had an idea submission and exchange website . Well it did not come up in Google.
I think eventually real time discovery engines will become more relevant ..
