Semantic Search based blogging tools

I started my blog with the setup and hosting to start blogging. Now I thought it is worth mentioning a new tool which  makes blogging easier.   Zemanta is Media enrichment tool which aids the starter professional blogger and media publisher with the relevant context information from the web.Wordpress, the premier blogging platform has  the plugin for Zemanta. I learned about the module first hand from one of the marketing managers in a meeting and thought it is really work checking out.  As you write in the wordpress editor, it brings the relevant photos and news from variety of sources and automatically suggests the tags. The images and articles can be dragged and dropped directly into the body of the blog. The underlying technology is Semantic Serach which is a context sensitive or grammar based search .

Semantic search itself is an emerging field with few startup players like Powerset and Hakia although most of them are in nascent stages. Though not perfect, I found Zemanta to be a more practical blogging aid. To me it was the first practical use of Semantic search based application.
